Struggling To Change?

"No great leader in history has fought to prevent change" - John C. Maxwell

I must say I am totally thrilled that in Celebration Ministries International 2010 is our year of Breakthrough! It's also interesting that it will take horizontal relationships like I have with you (lol), to make the breakthrough come around. I was just thinking that sometimes people get so comfortable in their "grave clothes" and would rather spend the rest of their lives in them. Coming to the knowledge that there is something that needs to be changed about you is only the first step. The second part which involves allowing someone else or even yourself to remove the unwanted is probably the most difficult. I loved the quote from John Maxwell's Go for Gold, "No great leader in history has fought to prevent change." I believe that change is the key to any breakthrough (in those things that are negative of course).

So what is it that needs to be changed in your life? Do you need to widen your horizons and see way beyond you have seen before? Do you need to break down walls that have closed out other people from relating with you? Do you need to swallow your pride and allow other people to do those things you have been trying to do alone without much success? I don't know what it is that you need to change but you probably know it. Ask God to reveal to you those areas in which you are bound. What is that area that has been holding you back from your breakthrough?

Have a great week!

Keep Smiling!

Only one thing separates winners from losers. The reality is that "Winners never quit, and losers always do." You might be thinking "well some times I surely must quit..." There is a difference between being a quitter and trying a different way. If you truly desire to do or have something, you will try all avenues with focused determination. You keep at it and keep at it. Remember that famous saying, "Obstacles are those fearful things you see when you take your eyes off the goal." They are what Peter saw after taking his eyes off Jesus while walking on the water.

It's amazing what a smile can do if you are determined to smile. Sulking and frowning will not help much after you have taken a fall. Put on a big smile and say, "Well, now I know that way doesn't work." Another saying says, "If the horse throws you off, get right back on!" The longer you wallow in your disappointment, the less likely you are to try again. 10000 times is what it took for Thomas Edison to make the light bulb that worked. How many times have you tried? If it didn't work, get up, dust yourself, put on a big smile and make up plan.

Affirmation: I am a winner, quitting is not my style. I'll keep looking until I find the winning strategy!

Feeling Abandoned?

"And, behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the world. Amen." - Matthew 28:20b

When times look hardest and you feel you're all alone in a cold world. When it seems like there is no one there for you and even God has gone quiet. When it seems like no one understands you, as if you speak a language of your own that can't be understood by everyone else. Remember that He is with you all the days until the end of the world. Have faith in His love. Even when it looks like no one loves you.

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, "For Your sake we are killed all the day long. We are counted as sheep of slaughter." But in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:35-39 MKJV

Affirmation: Nothing can separate me from His love. He is always there with me and for me!
